16.1H 1998 Black Revised PRE Stallion Affectionately known as Dante…. From the Best of Spain…. Our handsome black stallion with riveting presence represents a rare culmination. Dante offers the combination of Indiano and Cardenas lineages in rare black, there is no other stallion like him, found no where else in the world. His classical baroque physique & athleticism is a product of the finest bloodlines in Spain. Conquistador’s (aka Dante) sire, the incomparable Indiano XVIII, was bred in Spain by Joaquin Conesa, of Nobleza del Guadiana (more information here). Indiano XVIII is almost 100% Cartujano or Bocado, considered by most to be the purest lines of the PRE (see articles section for history on the Cartujano breeding of the monks). Indiano is a champion of both Spain & Mexico, undefeated with 6 championship titles in Mexico, awarded honors in morphology and best movement. After being exported to Mexico, he won the national title Champion of Champions under Spanish judges. Indiano is owned by the Indiano Syndicate. |

The Cardenas Stud in Spain (above) Conquistador’s dam Jordana is the daughter of Genil, also a Champion of both Spain & Mexico, bred by Miguel Angel Cardenas, the top winning breeder in Spain. Sr. Cardenas has created a legacy of champions of Spain, and holds more gold metal awards than any other breeder. On her maternal side, Jordana’s dam Quimera is primarily Carthusian bloodlines. Her ancestors also come from some of the finest breeders of bullfighting bred horses, Miura and Domeqc. Jordana dam also carries the Bocado bullfighting lines of Miura farther back in her pedigree, the same line as Panadero III, who has produced a number of well known athletes, a few who have gone on to the Spanish Olympic Team. Juan Llamas kindly commended his superb conformation and added, “I give this horse an 8 for his walk, the highest score I ever give for the walk….” Why compromise?
